Beads of Courage
Beads of Courage is a journey recognition program that provides each child cancer patient a meaningful bead every time they have a test, blood drawn, and many milestone treatments involved in the battle against cancer. By watching the beads compile it is not only a small gesture of recognition for the patient but an amazing thing for others to see. It helps those around the patient understand just how much physical pain and emotional effort the children are putting into their fight. Please visit www.beadsofcourage.org for more information.
Be The Match
Be The Match is a nationwide community committed to helping patients in need of a bone marrow transplant find a matching donor. They are always looking for more possible donors to join their Be The Match Registry®. If you are interested in volunteering or becoming a possible donor please visit www.bethematch.org
Memorial Blood Center
Blood is essential for life: it carries oxygen and nutrients throughout the body, fights infections. and helps heal wounds. And everyone has this self-generating resource that can be generously given to others-when and where it is needed most. Many children fighting cancer need blood transfusion numerous times to help in their battle fighting cancer. To donate or organize a blood drive, please contact: www.mbc.org

Cancer Legal Line
Cancer Legal Line is an organization that provides caring and compassionate pro bono (free) legal services to Minnesotans affected by cancer. Please contact them at www.cancerlegalline.org
Children’s Cancer Research

Blair’s Tree of Hope
Blair’s Tree of Hope is a registered 501c-3 non-profit organization, based out of Minneapolis, MN. Their mission is to help the families of children who have been hospitalized with a life threatening illness by providing them with meals, gas cards & grocery cards, parking passes, toiletries, magazines, books, etc. For more information, please go to www.blairstreeofhope.org
Fairview Youth Grief Services

HOW CAN YOU HELP?
There are many ways you can help us; you can give blood, time or funds directly. You can also give to SJL through the United Way (see info below) or volunteer through any one of the organizations we have listed under our Ambassador programs! If you feel you have a talent you would like to share that would help children fighting cancer in any way – you may also contact us to see if you or your organization/group can become an Ambassador.
